GISRoam can import raster files such as imagery, elevation, and maps for use on your iPhone or iPad. You can display these files on the map screen for reference and digitize new shapefile features from an image on the screen.
A DataConnect account is required to import raster files into GISRoam.
Tapping
My Data > My Raster Data displays a list of raster files on your mobile device.
You can turn the display of each file on or off by tapping the toggle switch to the right of its name.
Edit brings up a standard menu that lets you delete raster files.
Tapping a raster file name displays a screen containing information about the file.

Show GeoImage centers the map screen on this image. (Make sure GPS Tracking is set to None.) You must center a raster file manually before using it to digitize.
Raster Tran[sparancy] (at the bottom of the scrollable information) determines the amount of transparency in the image. The more transparent the image, the more you see of the underlying Google map.
Note: Google maps (and transparency) are not available when digitizing from raster data.
You cannot create raster files in GISRoam. For information on transferring raster files from your computer, see DataConnect.
