GISRoam is an easy to learn and use product.

We have tutorial videos available here.

For those who cannot access these videos since they are hosted on YouTube.com we also have short overview of the user interface in writing and screen shots for you.

Box means “multiple select” and allows you to draw a box around one or more vectors to select them.  To see the results of the selection you have to goto “attributes” on the bottom tool bar to see the attributes of the selected items.

Ruler means “measure” and allows you by tapping your finger along the length of a feature or in the imagery to find out a) the length between segments, b) total length  c) lat/long at the points, and d) height at those points if a raster elevation file is available and loaded under the current location.

Eye means “Terrain Profile” and allows you when a raster elevation image is loaded to show the 3D terrain profile of the terrain between any two points you select on the screen.  Results look like this image:

Attributes is how one sees all the attributes of one or many selected features on the map using the multiple select mode.

Search is how you list records in a layer which meets your boolean criteria and center on them.

Legends is how you create a colorized legend for your layer based on attributes which fills your vectors with color and range values displayed in on scene legend display.
